Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Automation Electrical Designer with 3-5 years of experience

to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in

AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN software

, and be capable of designing electrical systems based on customer or industry standards, especially those used by large multinational companies.

You will be responsible for creating and modifying electrical schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs for automation projects across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

:

Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.

Interpret and work from customer-provided design standards, specifications, and documentation.

Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), cable schedules, and terminal plans.

Collaborate with project managers, control engineers, and panel builders to ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.

Review and revise drawings as needed during design review and production stages.

Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards (e.g., IEC, UL, NEC).

Manage version control of design documents and maintain project files.

Support troubleshooting and commissioning activities as needed.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.

3-5 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation.

Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN Electric P8.

Experience working with customer-specific and industry-standard design templates and documentation practices.

Solid understanding of electrical components, control panel design, and automation systems.

Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., NFPA 79, UL 508A, CE marking).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

(not required):

Experience with PLC systems and control logic is a plus.

Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, or PDM systems.

Prior work with OEMs or large industrial clients.
