At Springboard, we’ve built automation systems which validate critical product functionality and platform health round the clock. The test automation team at Springboard owns and builds the capabilities, which ensures that the products meet the highest quality standards. Springboard uses Python/Django as the primary technology stack.
We use Python for testing as well. We are looking to hire an Automation Engineer to join us in our effort in meeting our ambitious quality goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop automation framework, compose automated tests, execute comprehensive suites of automated end to end test cases and test suites for web based application.
• Work closely with developers and business teams in building test plans.
• Perform manual QA and exploratory tests to ascertain boundary conditions, edge cases and limits of our application.
• Analyse failures and root cause issues, filing defects, following up with developers and other teams on the resolution.
• Improve automation framework, continuously evaluating test cases for inclusion in regression, automating newly integrated features.
• Take full ownership of end-user quality, usability and appeal.
• Contribute innovative ideas, features and improvements to the test framework, systems, processes and practices to ensure continuous improvement in quality.
• Constantly seek, explore and share industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Programming experience in Python using OOPS. Extensive experience in writing automated tests using Python using any of the unittesting frameworks (py.test preferred)Experience in writing shell scripts in bash/zsh to automate a posix shell.
• Experience composing and maintaining automated tests, designing SQA test plans and test cases according to requirements and manual/automated execution of test cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience with testing ReST APIs and UI driven web-application testing using SeleniumYou have a strong team ethic and are interested in a fast-paced startup environment.
• You have strong interpersonal, project management and organizational skills with ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results.
• You are meticulous, analytical, and curious about technology.
• You have strong knowledge of Agile testing methodologies and best practices, testing cycles in agile framework e.g. using agile tools such as Jira and understanding of Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies when you don't know, you ask questions or look for answers on the internet and are not afraid to express your opinion.
• You have strong fundamental knowledge on QA methodologies, techniques and approaches.
