We are seeking a highly experienced

Automation Architect

to lead the design, strategy, and implementation of enterprise-level test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will be an expert in automation tools, frameworks, CI/CD integration, and scalable architecture design--ensuring high-quality releases across complex, distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Strategy

Define and own the end-to-end

automation architecture

, tooling strategy, and standards across products. Evaluate, recommend, and implement automation tools & technologies. Build scalable, modular, reusable automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and backend services. Establish best practices, coding standards, and guidelines for automation engineers.

Development & Implementation

Design robust solutions for test automation in

UI, API, performance, and data validations

. Oversee development of automation scripts and reusable components. Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab/Azure DevOps). Work closely with DevOps to enable continuous testing and shift-left practices.

Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate with engineering, QA, DevOps, product, and architecture teams. Mentor and guide SDETs, test engineers, and developers on automation best practices. Conduct code reviews and architecture reviews for automation deliverables. Drive innovation in testing--AI-based automation, self-healing scripts, smart test selection.

Quality & Performance

Ensure automation coverage, reliability, and maintainability. Improve test efficiency, reduce execution time, and ensure optimal resource usage. Analyze failures, debug test scripts, and continuously enhance framework robustness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of QA automation experience, with at least 3+ years in an architect role. Deep expertise in:

Programming:

Java / Python / JavaScript / C#

Automation Tools:

Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress

API Testing:

REST Assured, Postman, Karate

Performance Tools:

JMeter, Gatling

CI/CD:

Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab Strong knowledge of microservices, cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), and containerized apps. Expertise in designing reusable, scalable automation frameworks. Strong understanding of DevOps, shift-left testing, and continuous testing practices. Experience in AI-based or ML-powered automation (bonus).
