The GNOC (Global Network Operations Center) Shift Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing shift operations, ensuring continuous monitoring, management, and resolution of network and service incidents. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal downtime and high network availability.
What you will do:
Manage GNOC shift operations and effectively drive multiple incident resolutions in coordination with various stakeholders.
Lead GNOC shift operations ensuring 24x7 monitoring and support for all network and MSDP infrastructure.
Drive incident management processes including detection, logging, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution.
Act as the first point of escalation for critical incidents/MSDP outages and ensure timely communication to internal and external stakeholders..
Prioritize faults to meet SLA/WLA requirements.
Investigate faults and causes related to system/network problems.
Participate in internal technical discussions to improve overall network performance and make recommendations wherever possible.
Ensure correct working methodology is followed.
Implement system configuration changes as per given access rights.
Authorized to raise and clear Trouble Tickets (TT) to the next level of support in consultation.
The skills you bring:
Shift handling skills able to develop team member in shift.
First level service problem restoration in 247 shifts. To handle and analyze Trouble Tickets and recommend timely actions and solutions to Trouble Tickets with guidance or supervision, when vital.
To Create WO to FM team when vital.
Raise TT towards Second level in consultation.
Involved in upgrade/updates of live nodes if required.
Rollout of New Feature as per MOP
Ability to perform under time constrains depending upon the business requirements.
Technical and/or functional skills: Good knowledge of service networks / GSM Network / WCDMA network / service applications characteristics and capabilities.
Key Qualification:
Degree within Electrical Engineering/Telecommunication Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Years of experience: 4-5 years
