Job Description

As an AutoCAD Technical Designer specializing in Events and Exhibitions, you will play a pivotal role in translating conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings and plans. Your expertise in AutoCAD will be essential in creating precise layouts for event and exhibition spaces, ensuring seamless execution of designs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Concept to Technical Translation:

Collaborate with the design team to understand conceptual event and exhibition designs. Translate conceptual designs into detailed and accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD. 2. Layout and Spatial Planning: Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and technical drawings for event and exhibition spaces, considering spatial constraints and design specifications. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and accessibility standards.
3. Collaboration with Design Teams:4. Material and Structural Considerations:5. Code Compliance:6. Revision and Iteration:7. Project Coordination:8. Quality Assurance:

Work closely with 2D and 3D designers to integrate technical requirements into the overall design concept. Provide technical insights to enhance the feasibility and functionality of designs. Specify materials, dimensions, and construction methods in technical drawings. Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure the selection of appropriate materials for construction. Stay informed about local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that all technical drawings adhere to relevant codes and standards. Incorporate feedback from internal teams, clients, and project managers into technical drawings. Make revisions to drawings as needed to meet project requirements. Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to align technical design timelines with overall project schedules.

Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate execution of technical designs.

Conduct thorough quality checks on technical drawings to identify and rectify any discrepancies. Ensure that final technical drawings align with design intent and project specifications

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an AutoCAD Technical Designer with a focus on events and exhibitions. Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software. Strong understanding of architectural and spatial design principles. Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and detailing. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with 3D design software such as Sketch up for better integration with 3D design concepts. Experience in the events or exhibition industry. Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly design practice
