Role Summary

The Interior Designer - GFC Design is responsible for preparing detailed, accurate, and technically sound Good for Construction drawings for interior projects. This role ensures all drawings meet industry standards, client requirements, and site feasibility, supporting smooth execution at project sites.

Key Responsibilities1. GFC Drawings & Documentation

Prepare detailed

GFC drawings

, including plans, sections, elevations, joinery details, electrical & plumbing layouts, and reflected ceiling plans. Convert concept and schematic designs into

fully detailed construction-ready drawings

. Ensure all drawings are accurate, readable, and aligned with project specifications.

2. Technical Coordination

Collaborate with project managers, architects, MEP teams, and site engineers to gather technical inputs. Incorporate necessary

MEP integration

(HVAC, electrical, plumbing) into GFC drawings. Coordinate with vendors for material feasibility, joinery details, and hardware selection.

3. Design Standards & Compliance

Follow design standards, building codes, and company drafting guidelines. Ensure drawings maintain consistency in layers, dimensions, notations, and detailing. Review and update drawings based on site conditions and client feedback.

4. Site Support

Provide design clarifications to site teams whenever required. Conduct occasional site visits to verify measurements and check construction compliance with drawings. Resolve drawing-related issues by updating GFC sets promptly.

5. Material, BOQ & Execution Support

Prepare material specifications related to GFC drawings. Support the estimation team with

BOQ inputs

when required. Ensure approved materials match drawing details and final finish schedules.

Skills & Competencies

Strong command of

AutoCAD

, SketchUp, Revit (optional), and MS Office. Expertise in interior detailing (carpentry/joinery, modular furniture, civil & finishing work). Good understanding of

MEP integration

in interiors. Excellent attention to detail, technical accuracy, and drafting speed. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and service drawings. Strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Experience in interior fit-out projects, retail, corporate, hospitality, or residential interiors preferred.

Key Deliverables

Complete GFC drawing set - layouts, sections, elevations, details. Material schedules and technical specifications. As-built drawings (when required).
