Job Description

An AutoCAD Designer in a coworking space creates precise 2D/3D technical drawings for various projects (interiors, modular furniture, architecture), collaborating with diverse teams (clients, engineers, architects) using AutoCAD software, managing project files, ensuring standards, and delivering accurate layouts for space optimization, often handling client feedback and multiple project timelines in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

AutoCAD Designer / Drafter (Coworking/Studio)

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Drafting:

Create detailed 2D & 3D drawings, floor plans, layouts, and technical plans using AutoCAD.

Collaboration:

Work closely with interior designers, architects, engineers, and clients to understand project needs and translate concepts into drawings.

Revisions:

Incorporate feedback and updates from stakeholders, revising drawings as required.

Documentation:

Maintain organized project files, documentation, and drawing standards.

Quality Control:

Ensure drawings meet industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.

Space Planning:

Develop optimized layouts for commercial/residential spaces, focusing on efficient space utilization.

Project Support:

Assist in preparing presentations, material lists, and support project timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D). Strong understanding of drafting principles, symbols, and standards. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Strong communication and teamwork skills for a collaborative setting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Relevant diploma or degree in design/engineering.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Familiarity with other design software (Revit, SketchUp). Knowledge of specific Indian building codes/regulations (if applicable). Experience with 3D rendering or walkthroughs.
