We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Elevator Draughtsman to prepare technical drawings and layout designs for elevator systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure precise execution of design specifications according to industry standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings of elevators, lift shafts, machine rooms, and related components using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Create general arrangement (GA) drawings, shaft layouts, electrical layouts, and load calculations.
Interpret architectural and structural drawings and incorporate elevator design specifications accordingly.
Coordinate with project engineers to ensure accurate integration of elevator systems into building plans.
Update and revise drawings based on client feedback, engineering changes, or site constraints.
Maintain documentation and drawing records in an organized and retrievable manner.
Ensure all drawings comply with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
Assist in the preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ), materials list, and shop drawings as needed.
Provide support to the site installation team by supplying detailed technical drawings and clarification.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience (2-5 years preferred) as a Draughtsman in the elevator/lift industry.
Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or BIM tools is a plus.
Strong understanding of elevator system components and installation methods.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of international elevator standards (EN 81, ASME A17, etc.) is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with elevator brand.
Familiarity with vertical transportation planning.
Site coordination or field experience is a plus.
