Job Role: AutoCAD Designer / Draftsman - Solar Installation
An AutoCAD Designer in
Sunrise India
is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and layouts for
solar PV systems
, including rooftop and ground-mounted installations. The role supports engineering, procurement, and construction teams by translating site data and design requirements into compliant, constructible drawings.
Key Responsibilities Solar System Design & Drafting
Prepare
AutoCAD drawings for solar PV layouts
, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems
Design
panel layouts, inverter locations, mounting structures, and cable routing
Create
single line diagrams (SLD)
and
electrical layouts
for solar systems
Engineering & Technical Documentation
Develop
GA drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings
Prepare drawings for
net metering, utility approval, and regulatory submissions
Ensure designs comply with
local electrical codes, solar standards, and utility requirements
Site Coordination & Data Interpretation
Interpret
site survey data, roof measurements, shading analysis, and structural inputs
Coordinate with
solar engineers, project managers, and installation teams
Update drawings based on
site conditions and installation changes
Project Support
Assist in
Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
and material take-offs
Support procurement by providing
technical drawings and layouts
Provide technical clarification during installation and commissioning stages
Tools & Skills Required
Proficiency in
AutoCAD (2D/3D)
Strong understanding of technical drawings and symbols
Basic Computer:
Excel, WORD,PPT.
Language :
English
License
Mandatory.
AutoCad Software
required.
