: AutoCAD Designer (Interiors)

Job Summary

We are seeking a precise and highly efficient

AutoCAD Designer

to join our interiors team in

Sitra, Coimbatore

. The primary responsibility is to translate on-site measurements and interior design concepts into accurate, detailed 2D technical drawings, including layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed fabrication drawings, using AutoCAD software.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting & Design Execution

Drawing Production:

Produce complete sets of detailed working drawings for interior fit-out projects (residential, commercial, or retail) based on measurements provided by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager. This includes

floor plans, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), elevations, sections, and detailed joinery/millwork drawings

.

Measurement Translation:

Accurately incorporate on-site measurements and field data into existing or new AutoCAD drawings.

Drawing Standards:

Ensure all drawings adhere to established drafting standards, scales, layers, and project specifications.

Bill of Quantities (BOQ):

Assist in calculating and extracting accurate quantities of materials (BOQ) directly from the finalized drawings.
2. Coordination & Review

Revision Management:

Manage and update drawing revisions quickly and accurately based on feedback from the Project Manager, Site Team, and Interior Designer.

Clash Detection:

Verify drawings for dimensional accuracy, consistency, and potential clashes between different interior elements (e.g., electrical points, plumbing, false ceiling details).

Site Support:

Provide necessary drawing clarification and technical support to the site execution team and vendors as needed.
3. Documentation

Maintain an organized and current archive of all project drawings, ensuring the site team and vendors are always working with the latest approved version.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Diploma or ITI in Civil/Mechanical Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

Experience:

2+ years of demonstrable professional experience using

AutoCAD

specifically for

interior design, architecture, or fit-out projects

.

Location:

Ability to work from the office location in

Sitra, Coimbatore

.

Skills:

High proficiency in 2D drafting using

AutoCAD

is mandatory. Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel/Word).
