Job Responsibilities:

Prepare 2D and 3D designs using

AutoCAD

and related CAD tools for sheet metal components and assemblies. Create and modify detailed fabrication drawings for

laser cutting, bending, and welding

operations. Work on

Metalix

and

TruTops

software for

nesting, laser cutting programming, and optimization

. Develop and validate

flat patterns

and ensure design accuracy for manufacturing. Coordinate with

production and quality teams

for feasibility, dimensional accuracy, and manufacturability. Maintain design data, revision history, and drawing documentation. Optimize material utilization through effective nesting techniques. Support new product development and continuous improvement in existing designs. Ensure compliance with company and customer drawing standards.

Key Skills Required:

Proficiency in

AutoCAD (2D/3D)

Hands-on experience in

Metalix

and

TruTops

software Knowledge of

sheet metal fabrication processes

(laser cutting, bending, punching, welding) Understanding of

GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications

Strong analytical and visualization skills Ability to work in coordination with production, planning, and quality teams
