Job Title: Auto Electrician

Department: Workshop / Maintenance

Reports To: Workshop Supervisor / Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose:

The Auto Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting the electrical wiring and electronic components of automobiles, trucks, buses, and heavy commercial vehicles to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and in proper working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles, including wiring, ignition, lighting, indicators, and electronic systems.

Install, maintain, and repair vehicle electrical systems such as batteries, alternators, starters, air conditioning, alarms, GPS, and audio systems.

Use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to test vehicle electrical systems.

Inspect, test, and replace defective electrical wiring, fuses, switches, and relays.

Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on vehicle electrical systems.

Work on heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs), trailers, and tippers for electrical troubleshooting.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance procedures.

Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and reports of work completed.

Assist mechanical team in diagnosing combined mechanical and electrical issues.

Keep up to date with modern vehicle electrical and electronic systems (ECU, sensors, CAN bus systems, etc.). Qualifications & Experience:

ITI / Diploma in Auto Electrical / Automobile Engineering (preferred).

Minimum 2-5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician in a workshop or fleet maintenance environment.

Experience with heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs), buses, or trailers will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
