We are looking for a caring and proactive Special Needs - Autism Spectrum Disorder teacher to join one of our partner schools in USA.

Job Title:

Teacher of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Job Summary:

Teach and support students with autism by creating and delivering individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to their needs. Use specialized teaching methods and manage student behavior to help them learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess student abilities and help develop IEP goals. Teach academic, communication, social, and life skills based on IEPs. Use research-based techniques for students with autism. Track and report student progress regularly. Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment. Communicate and collaborate with parents, staff, and community agencies. Train and support teaching assistants and staff. Assist with health care tasks like first aid and physical support if needed.

Qualifications:

Special education credential authorizing the teaching of severely handicapped students.

Preference will be given to individuals with classroom experience in working directly with severely handicapped students.

Experience working with students with autism preferred. Knowledge of autism teaching strategies and behavioral management. Ability to work with nonverbal students using alternative communication methods. Physically able to support students during behavioral challenges.
