Role Overview
As a
Dental Trainer
, you will design and deliver engaging, high-quality educational content and support programs for dental practitioners, students, and internationally qualified dental graduates preparing for Australian registration assessments. You will play a key role in education delivery, curriculum support, assessment preparation, and professional development aligned with national standards.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Facilitation
Develop and deliver structured training sessions, workshops, and educational modules tailored to dental clinical practice standards.
Facilitate classroom, workshop, and online learning experiences that help learners prepare for ADC assessment pathways (including written and practical components). The Australian Dental Council
Curriculum Development & Content Creation
Create and refine training materials, presentation slides, learning resources, and assessment preparation tools.
Ensure materials align with current dental competency frameworks and national examination requirements.
Learner Support & Assessment Preparation
Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to candidates seeking registration with the Dental Board of Australia.
Support learners in understanding clinical workflows, best practices, and professional competencies required for safe, high-quality dental practice.
Quality Assurance & Evaluation
Monitor trainee progress, evaluate training outcomes, and recommend improvements.
Report on training effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement of education programs.
Industry Engagement & Expertise Sharing
Stay current with dental industry standards, educational best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clinical experts, and external partners to ensure training relevance and impact.
Selection Criteria / Qualifications
Essential:
Degree in Dentistry (e.g., BDS/DDS) with current AHPRA registration or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in clinical dentistry and/or dental education.
Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Ability to develop clear, engaging training content for adult learners.
Desirable:
Experience preparing candidates for Australian Dental Council (ADC) assessments.
Knowledge of Australian dental registration requirements and accreditation processes. The Australian Dental Council
