ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR LEAD/SR AUDIT & TAX EXECUTIVE
Annual Audit & Tax Support
1. Professional Guidance to Client Servicing Teams - Provide professional advisory, opinions, consultation & guidance to allocated Floraison F&A team in the group, including participation in comprehensive internal discussions on all client matters - Work closely with respective managers/leads.
2. Enriching Consulting Experience to Clients - Participate in client discussions & client communications to provide Floraison F&A team with enriching & valued consultation experience on critical matters.
3. 360 Degree View of Transactions - Professionally & independently work closely with Floraison managers & leads while trying to understand, assess & advise implications of specific transactions, special events, or critical business decisions of clients - adopt a 360-degree view wherever necessary.
4. Annual Books of Accounts & Schedule III - Work closely with Floraison F&A team to help finalize, and close annual books of accounts, provide guidance for preparation of Schedule III together with financials, notes, assumptions & comments, directors report, MRL etc.
5. Periodic Preventive Audit - In collaboration with assigned P&R audit team members, undertake preventive audit on regular periodic basis to ensure deep review of all transactions including but not limited to accounting, direct tax, indirect tax, labour laws, statutory or regulatory implication - Guide and lead the team constantly.
6. Audit Query Resolutions - Work with Floraison F&A team to close audit queries and clarifications. Work closely with group head for audit, audit manager and partner of P&R to discuss and close final and open audit queries (CQL), provide assurance and confidence to the partner, and do everything to facilitate sign off by clients and partner.
7. Closure of Statutory Audit - Independently engage, and work closely with assigned P&R Audit team members to start, manage, oversee & close annual statutory audits. Ensure adherence to mutually agreed time frames for commencement & closure of audits. Prepare & maintain appropriate trackers & reports.
8. Client Discussions on Financials - Plan, initiate & participate in client discussions & briefings on annual audited financials presented to them for their final review, sign off by directors & approval by board.
9. Annual Direct & Indirect Tax Activities -
a. Independently engage & work closely with assigned P&R Audit team members to manage and close Income tax audits, provide tax audit report and Form 3CD to P&R partner for sign off.
b. Work closely with allocated team to prepare and file corporate tax computation, review tax provisions in books, minimum alternate tax, computation & remittance of advance tax, finalisation, preparation and filing of income tax returns, preparation of data for Form 3CD, review, prepare and file GST annual returns, and various reconciliations thereof.
10. International Tax - Work closely with Floraison F&A team on client engagements to review international transactions between associated enterprises, finalise transfer pricing study report, review certifications and forms to be filed with tax authorities, review implications of international tax on various transactions.
11. Direct & Indirect Tax Planning - Work closely with Floraison managers to provide support and promote understanding with proactive direct & indirect tax planning for clients to adopt optimized & well thought- out tax structure including withholding tax implications. Assist to draft responses to notices, assessments, responses to tax queries by authorities, compile and to provide information & explanation.
12. Corporate & Regulatory - Work closely with Corporate & Regulatory team to review & get on top of all annual and one-time activities arising in relation to Companies Act, FEMA guidelines, RBI matters & other regulatory laws - while allowing the C&R team to initiate, manage and execute all C&R activities.
