Job Title: Bank Audit - Loan Files / Credit Audit Executive

Department: Internal Audit / Credit Risk / Compliance

Job Summary:

The Loan File Auditor is responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of loan files and related documentation. The role ensures that loans have been sanctioned, disbursed, and monitored in accordance with internal policies, RBI guidelines, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan File Review:

Examine loan files to ensure all required documentation (KYC, financial statements, sanction letters, collateral documents, etc.) are complete and up to date.

Verify sanction terms, security creation, and compliance with internal credit policies.

Regulatory & Policy Compliance:

Check compliance with RBI/NHB/Bank internal policies and prudential norms.

Ensure documentation aligns with applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g., exposure limits, borrower classification, NPA norms).

Disbursement & Post-Disbursement Checks:

Review whether disbursement conditions were met.

Validate end-use of funds, collateral valuation, and insurance coverage.

Monitoring & Control:

Assess renewal and review timelines, follow-up on overdue loans, and verify credit monitoring reports.

Identify early warning signals and report deviations.

Audit Reporting:

Prepare audit observations and detailed working papers.

Highlight control gaps, non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions.

Coordination:

Liaise with credit, operations, and legal teams for clarifications and rectification of discrepancies.

Assist in preparing management reports and follow-up on audit closures.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of banking operations, credit appraisal, and loan documentation.

Working knowledge of RBI guidelines, internal audit standards, and credit risk management.

Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to identify control gaps.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and audit software tools.

Good communication and report-writing skills.

Qualifications:

Educational: B.Com / M.Com / CA (Inter) / MBA (Finance) / ICWA (Inter).

Experience: 1-5 years in internal audit / credit audit / credit administration / risk or compliance in a bank or NBFC.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
