Hawaii Doors and Windows is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical
Audit Executive
to join our finance and compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting internal audits, assessing financial processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of audit practices, financial reporting, and internal controls relevant to the manufacturing and retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute internal audit assignments across departments, including finance, inventory, procurement, sales, and operations.
Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
Monitor compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements.
Perform detailed audits of financial transactions and accounting records.
Prepare audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
Work closely with department heads to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or improvement strategies.
Support external audits by providing required documentation and clarifications.
Conduct periodic physical inventory checks and assess asset controls.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, compliance standards, and audit tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CIA is a plus).
2-4 years of experience in internal or external audit, preferably in the manufacturing, construction, or retail sector.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and risk management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (such as SAP, QuickBooks, or NetSuite), and audit software.
Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the doors, windows, construction materials, or manufacturing industry.
Familiarity with US GAAP and relevant state regulations.
Experience conducting operational and compliance audits.
