The Audit Executive - Stock/Inventory Audit will be responsible for conducting stock audits across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy of records, compliance with policies, and identification of discrepancies or inefficiencies. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen internal controls and optimize inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct stock and inventory audits across locations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Perform physical stock counts, reconciliations, and process audits to detect discrepancies, inefficiencies, or irregularities.
Review and evaluate inventory systems, internal controls, and risk management procedures related to stock management.
Document and report audit findings, highlighting discrepancies, weaknesses, or areas of concern, along with actionable recommendations.
Analyze inventory transactions and stock movements for proper documentation and adherence to accounting principles.
Identify causes of inventory shrinkage and propose corrective measures to improve accuracy and reduce losses.
Prepare and review detailed audit reports, including methodology, findings, and corrective actions.
Collaborate with operations, finance, supply chain, and other departments to ensure proper inventory handling and reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal audit standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on industry best practices and relevant accounting/auditing standards for inventory management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in stock/inventory auditing, accounting, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, auditing techniques, and internal controls.
Familiarity with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and audit methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and inventory management software.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
High level of integrity, ethical standards, and confidentiality.
