Job Description

1. Collecting and Verifying Answer Scripts



Receive answer sheets from the exam department in a sealed/organized manner. Verify the number of scripts with the attendance sheet. Ensure no script is missing or duplicated.

2. Following Marking Guidelines



Read and understand the marking scheme, rubric, or answer key thoroughly. Ensure uniformity and fairness while evaluating all papers. Mark strictly as per the board/school guidelines without personal bias.

3. Evaluating Answer Sheets



Check answers carefully for accuracy, relevance, and completeness. Award marks question-wise as per the marking pattern. Highlight errors, incomplete answers, or inaccuracies where needed. Ensure neat and clear correction markings (tick, cross, underline, etc. as per policy).

4. Double-Checking Calculations



Recheck total marks to avoid calculation errors. Verify that all questions have been evaluated. Correctly transfer total marks to the front page of the answer sheet.

5. Recording Marks



Enter marks accurately into mark sheets, software, or registers. Cross-verify entries to prevent data entry mistakes. Maintain confidentiality of student scores.

6. Quality and Consistency Control



Maintain consistent marking standards throughout the batch. Participate in moderation if required by the school/board. Review borderline cases carefully to ensure fairness.

7. Safeguarding Answer Scripts



Maintain strict confidentiality of all answer sheets. Store scripts securely while checking at school or home (if permitted). Avoid sharing or discussing student performance with others.

8. Meeting Deadlines



Complete paper checking within the given timeline. Submit evaluated scripts and mark entries on or before the deadline. Report any issues (missing papers, unclear handwriting, mismatches) immediately.

9. Reporting and Documentation



Provide summaries of class performance if required. Highlight common errors or learning gaps to the exam coordinator. Prepare feedback to help improve teaching and learning outcomes.

10. Professional Conduct



Maintain objectivity, accuracy, and integrity. Ensure no favoritism or discrimination during evaluation. Follow all examination and school policies.

Pay: ₹11,497.38 - ₹18,427.19 per month
