Job Description

Assist in planning and performing internal audits across retail operations (store-level, distribution centers, e-commerce, merchandising, point-of-sale, inventory, and supply chain processes). Gather and analyze data to identify control gaps, risks, and inefficiencies; document findings with clear, actionable recommendations. Execute tests of design and operating effectiveness for internal controls (e.g., cash handling, POS reconciliation, inventory counts, vendor onboarding, returns processing). Assist with audit fieldwork, including walkthroughs, data extraction, sampling, and evidence collection. Support SOX/compliance activities as applicable to the retail environment. Prepare audit work papers, issue letters, and draft audit reports; track remediation actions and follow up on management's corrective actions. Collaborate with store operations, logistics, finance, and IT to ensure risk mitigation and process improvements. Assist in the development of risk-based audit plans and annual audit programs. Maintain documentation in the audit management system; ensure confidentiality and data integrity.
