The Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations, diagnosing hearing and communication disorders, providing appropriate interventions, fitting hearing aids, and counseling patients. The role includes managing complex cases, contributing to clinical development and training, and ensuring best practices in patient care with a high level of professional autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct basic audiological evaluations, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and impedance testing, and assist in electrophysiological assessments under supervision. Assist in diagnosing hearing and communication disorders and support senior audiologists in treatment planning. Provide patient counseling and education on hearing loss, communication disorders, and available management options. Assist in hearing aid selection, trial, fitting, basic programming, follow-ups, and routine maintenance under the guidance of a senior audiologist. Support audiological and speech-language therapy services for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adults as assigned. Handle routine cases independently and assist with pediatric, severe, or medically complex cases under supervision. Coordinate with ENT specialists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist in ensuring compliance with clinic protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines. Participate in awareness activities, follow-up calls, and patient education programs related to hearing and speech health.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP). Minimum

1 year of clinical experience

as an Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist. Hands-on experience in hearing aid trial, fitting assistance, and basic troubleshooting. Basic experience in audiology and hearing aid dispensing. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in

English and Kannada

(knowledge of

Tulu/Malayalam

is an added advantage).
