:
Evaluate and manage patients with musculoskeletal tumors, metastatic bone disease, and other orthopedic oncologic conditions.
Perform specialized surgical procedures such as:
Limb-salvage surgery
Tumor resections
Endoprosthetic reconstructions
Management of pathological fractures
Amputations when indicated
Provide inpatient care, postoperative management, and outpatient follow-up.
Review imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT, PET), biopsy reports, and pathology findings.
Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary team meetings (oncology, radiology, pathology, radiation oncology).
Ensure evidence-based and patient-centered treatment plans.
B. Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to hospital policies.
Oversee junior doctors, fellows, residents, and nursing staff in the ortho-oncology unit.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and morbidity/mortality reviews.
Develop clinical protocols, pathways, and guidelines for tumor care.
C. Teaching & Academic Roles
Provide teaching and mentorship to residents, fellows, and medical students.
Conduct clinical presentations, lectures, and training workshops.
Participate in academic meetings and conferences.
D. Research Responsibilities
Engage in clinical research, trials, and publications in musculoskeletal oncology.
Contribute to innovation in limb-salvage techniques, implants, and oncologic outcomes.
