, while acting as the functional expert for Athena EHR and Practice Management modules.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the
primary SME
for Athena EHR & Practice Management
Deliver
role-based training
for providers, scribes, front desk, and billing teams
Conduct classroom, virtual, and one-on-one training sessions
Develop training materials including
SOPs, decks, and quick reference guides
Support
new hire onboarding
, refresher training, and go-live assistance
Provide post-training support and address user queries
Identify workflow gaps and recommend process improvements
Collaborate with clinical, operations, and leadership teams to ensure smooth adoption
Required Experience & Qualifications
3-5+ years of
hands-on Athenahealth (EHR & PM) experience
Prior experience training or supporting healthcare users
Strong understanding of
US healthcare workflows
Experience creating training documentation and SOPs
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred / Good-to-Have
Athenahealth certification
Experience as an EHR / EMR Trainer or Implementation Specialist
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance
Exposure to Athena implementations or go-live support
