Role Objective
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Executive/AM/DM- Business Development to support the business development and regulatory functions for our renewable energy business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the commercially viable, legally compliant, and strategically aligned development of renewable projects. This role requires a good understanding of the renewable energy industry, business development principles, and regulatory framework for Utility and C&I business.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development
Lead business development initiatives for renewable projects, evaluating project feasibility, financial viability, and growth opportunities.
Prepare and review bid documents, market analysis, and financial models for project bidding.
Manage business development processes, including lead generation, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
Drive business growth through strategic partnerships, collaborations, and stakeholder engagement.
B. Regulatory & Policy Affairs:
Monitor, interpret, and communicate updates from central and state renewable energy regulatory bodies.
Liaise with DISCOMs, SLDCs, and government authorities for grid connectivity, open access, and power evacuation approvals.
Manage frameworks related to REC, I-REC, CDM, GBI, and other compliance mechanisms.
Represent Nexen Power in policy consultations and renewable energy associations.
C. Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Projects:
Lead the structuring and negotiation of PPAs, and other power sale contracts with utilities and C&I customers.
Review commercial terms of shareholder agreements, JV structures, and financing arrangements.
Oversee project billing, invoicing, energy reconciliation, and revenue realization.
Strategic and analytical thinking with business acumen
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and business development
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Leadership with a collaboration mindset and governance focus
