Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Political Science, including but not limited to political theory, comparative politics, international relations, public administration, and contemporary political issues. Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials using innovative teaching methods. Design and evaluate assignments, exams, and projects to assess student performance. Guide and mentor students academically and provide career counseling where applicable. Conduct original research, publish articles, and present findings at conferences and seminars. Participate in curriculum development and academic planning. Engage in department meetings, workshops, and faculty development programs. Supervise student dissertations, theses, and research projects. Contribute to administrative tasks and community outreach initiatives. Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary projects. Stay updated with trends in political science and related fields.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Political Science from a recognized university. Ph.D. in Political Science or related discipline preferred. Strong academic record and proven teaching ability. Prior teaching or research experience is desirable. Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to use educational technology and online teaching platforms. Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Skills and Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of political theories, systems, and global affairs. Strong research aptitude with ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals. Effective classroom management and student engagement techniques. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administration. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
