JOB DESCRIPTION + ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Asst. Marketing Manager Minimum Requirements for AMM ? 2 to 4 years Industry ? Preferably Events, Digital/Marketing/Social Media Agencies Education ? MBA in Marketing, Sales, PR, Communications, Advertising In this role, you will be: 1. Developing effective marketing strategies and working towards achieving a minimum of 30% marketing sourced revenue/direct marketing revenue out of the total target revenue for each event. 2. Managing all activities related to Marketing and communications for the allocated events/business divisions/products. 3. Any specialist team members/branding team members that are assigned to you will report to you in terms of the tasks you allocate and receive feedback from you. 4. You will be directly reporting to Krunal and receive regular feedback. 5. You will be responsible for any mentorship/training required for new Marketing Executives and Interns 6. Supervise partnerships team tasks, social media tasks, Google AdWords campaigns & adverts, social adverts, SEO and content production for your respective events. Coordinate with Sam for budgeting where required. Ensure our content is regularly promoted across all partner channels. 7. High priority activities that must be performed as per schedule mentioned: (minimum) o One targeted email campaign per week per event (Ex: top target lists, industry specific, solution category specific, blow-outs, special target etc.) o One general promotional email per week per target audience per event (Ex: one for general delegate DB and one for general sponsor DB) o One curated newsletter email per week per event (one general email for all target DB) o One article/blog published per week per event o One press release per month per event 8. Marketing strategy document, email campaign schedule, article/blog schedule must be prepared until the event date and must be submitted within stipulated deadlines as mentioned in subsequent memos. 9. For series events, email campaigns and articles/blogs timeline must be ready and approved by sales and production before the start of each event?s marketing cycle. It must be until the end of the event. All email campaigns must be approved the week before it goes out with an exception of rare ad-hoc campaigns. 10. Identifying existing database and coordinating with sales and production teams to develop a lead generation strategy to develop the same in a timely manner that best suits the marketing strategy 11. Aligning marketing strategy with content, social media and lead generation. 12. Come up with effective lead generation strategies and database classification strategies. Ensure ?top target companies/contacts lists? are built for each event prior to marketing cycle starts well in advance, in collaboration with sponsorship manager, delegate manager and producer 13. Come up with lead management strategies including ideas to clean unresponsive data, nurture existing leads through regular weekly email newsletters and other online engagements 14. DRT staff allocation and effective utilization of resources for your respective events 15. Travel to Manipal as and when necessary to brief about each new event, and especially during top target list building. 16. Finding new avenues of marketing activities that has potential to generate revenue 17. Coordinating with marketing team specialists (Marketing Executives / Marketing Leads) for smooth and on-time delivery of tasks and helping the teams develop innovative promotional ideas. 18. Manage, effectively utilize and provide regular feedback to allocated specialist teams 19. Come up with innovative ideas for promotional activities online, with a special focus on content promotion (making use of event content such as session videos, interviews etc) social media marketing and partnerships utilization 20. Contribute to the development of corporate website, brochures and taking care of corporate-level branding, marketing, communications activities and related tasks 21. Preparing business proposals and other related tasks 22. Manage, effectively utilize and provide regular feedback to allocated branding staff
