Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Responsible for procurement and timely availability of indirect materials (like consumables, tools, spares, oil, diesel etc) and other F and OS items (like hand gloves, cotton cloth, PPEs, travel card, stationary items etc) as per requirement to support production activities.
2. Commercial and contractual terms negotiation and vendor finalization.
3. Ensure buying activities (scheduling, follow up, bill of material matching) of all indirect materials and maintaining inventory within norms.
4. Monitoring Supplier Schedule Adherence - Weekly, Monthly, tracking of performance.
5. Quality concern handling, root cause analysis and countermeasure.
6. Quality improvement, Cost optimisation, Logistics and packaging cost savings.
7. Inventory Classification and Inventory Management
8. TPM and Safety system adherence in stores related to persons, equipments and processes.
9. Transportation and packaging cost saving ideas implementation
10. Inventory and cost (fixed and variable) reduction initiatives
11. Lead time reduction for critical tools and spares
12. Maintain MIS of indirect materials and reporting of the same to senior management
13. Compliance to all statutory and legal requirements for storage facilities of Oil and Diesel
14. Monthly Receipts reconciliation and Reduce material variance (minimum variation) between physical and system (SAP).

Experience

10 - 15 yrs.

B.E./BTech (Production/Mechanical)
