Job Title:

HOTO Engineer - Solar Projects

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the handover of completed solar plant sections or full projects from the construction team to the operations and maintenance (O&M) team.
Review and validate as-built documentation, drawings, test reports, and quality records.
Conduct site inspections to ensure all systems are installed per design and meet performance criteria.
Facilitate punch list management - identifying, tracking, and closing open items.
Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and regulatory handover requirements.
Organize and participate in HOTO meetings with EPC contractors, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Maintain detailed documentation of handover processes and approvals.
Support testing, commissioning, and performance validation during the transition.
Collaborate with QA/QC, safety, and project teams to resolve any issues before handover.
Prepare and submit HOTO dossiers and obtain necessary client and regulatory sign-offs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
3-7 years of experience in solar project execution, with at least 2 years in a HOTO or commissioning role.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical systems, and project lifecycle stages.
Familiarity with SCADA, inverter systems, and grid interconnection protocols.
Excellent documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently on remote project sites with diverse teams.
