Job Summary



We are looking for a dedicated and experienced

Spare Parts Assistant Manager

to manage inventory operations, customer service, procurement, and workshop coordination for our Ashok Leyland heavy vehicle service center. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of commercial vehicle spare parts, stock management, SAP MM and team handling.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:



Inventory & Stock Management



Manage optimum stock levels of Ashok Leyland genuine spare parts. Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving parts. Conduct regular physical stock audits to ensure 100% inventory accuracy. Ensure proper storage, binning, labeling, and warehouse organization.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination



Raise purchase orders and coordinate with Ashok Leyland part distribution centers. Track pending orders, back-orders, and ensure timely replenishments. Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure quality compliance.

Customer Service & Sales Support



Assist customers and workshop team in identifying correct spare parts. Provide pricing, availability details, and accurate estimations. Ensure quick and error-free billing and dispatch of parts. Address and resolve customer queries or complaints.

Workshop Coordination



Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely parts issuance. Maintain job card-wise parts records and support warranty claims. Avoid delays in workshop jobs due to unavailability of spare parts.

System & Documentation



Update stock records in SAP system accurately. Maintain all documents including GRN, invoices, stock registers, and return notes. Ensure adherence to Ashok Leyland guidelines and internal audit requirements.

Team Supervision



Lead and supervise storekeepers and parts executives. Provide training on product knowledge and store operations. Monitor daily activities and ensure productivity of the team.

Reporting & Analysis



Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock consumption and sales reports. Analyze demand trends and plan inventory accordingly.

Warranty & Return Handling



Manage warranty part returns and defective part claims. Maintain proper documentation for replacement and credit notes.

Required Skills



Strong knowledge of heavy/commercial vehicle spare parts (Ashok Leyland preferred). Experience in stock management, warehouse operations, and SAP MM system. Good communication, leadership, and customer handling skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.

Salary Range



INR 15000.00 - 23000.00
