Summary of Job descriptionInterface with component teams to prioritize supplier development needs by component to improve cost competitiveness or supply constraints specially for Casting CI , Investment casting Plastic & Rubber , Machined items , Brass Item New source evaluation and selection: - Evaluation and right selection of vendors based on various parameters as per the company norms. Experience in product development by reverse engineering. Capable to manage interaction of design engineers and should be result oriented to ensure the timely rollout of new products. Technical specification review with CFT for new development. RFI & RFQ management Process design finalization for Casting, Machining, Sheet metal & Stamping within targeted PPM level. Strong knowledge of manufacturing, engineering practices, and relevant standards like DFMEA (Design failure mode and effect analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Measurement System Analysis Studies, PPAP. Monitor NPD activities to ensure timeline & First time right development Participate in reduction activities through value engineering.

Qualification and experience
BE (Mechanical) with 5 to 10 Years of relevant experience.
Knowledge / skills requiredCosting of commodities like Casting, Machining, Sheet metal & Stamping. Knowledge of Engineering and manufacturing processes of Casting, Machining, Sheet metal & Stamping. Knowledge of Process Tools, Jigs & Fixtures is essential
