Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager - SCM to manage end-to-end supply chain operations in our automotive manufacturing setup. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier coordination, with a proven track record in manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and optimize supply chain operations to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
Coordinate with procurement, production, logistics, and quality teams to maintain smooth workflow across the supply chain.
Monitor supplier performance, lead time, and delivery schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage inventory levels, ensure accuracy in stock records, and implement effective material planning strategies.
Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted production.
Implement SCM best practices, ERP/MRP tools, and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance, cost savings, and operational KPIs to senior management.
Lead, mentor, and guide the supply chain team to achieve operational excellence.
Support new product launches by ensuring supply readiness and material availability.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
9-10 years of experience in supply chain management in manufacturing, preferably automotive industry (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and vendor management.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in process optimization, cost reduction, and supply chain strategy execution.
