Key Responsibilities

A. Track Construction & Maintenance

Assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of track construction works (ballasted / ballastless). Ensure correct installation of rails, sleepers, fastenings, ballast, turnouts, and other track components. Supervise track maintenance activities such as tamping, packing, alignment correction, rail welding, and lubrication. Support track geometry measurements and ensure compliance with rail standards (IRPWM/Schedule of Dimensions).

B. Inspection & Quality Control

Conduct regular site inspections for track alignment, gauge, level, rail wear, ballast profile, and other parameters. Monitor quality of track materials delivered to site and ensure conformity with technical specifications.

C. Safety & Compliance

Ensure all P-Way works comply with safety procedures, railway standards, and statutory requirements. Support implementation of safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident prevention measures. Maintain accurate compliance documentation for inspections, repairs, and certifications.

D. Planning & Documentation

Prepare and update daily progress reports, measurement sheets, and work schedules. Assist in preparing DPRs, MPRs, track work programs, and material requirement forecasts. Coordinate with procurement, contractors, and vendors for timely material availability.

E. Coordination & Team Support

Coordinate with signaling, OHE, civil, and project teams to ensure uninterrupted track work progress. Support contractors and track gangs with technical guidance. Liaise with consultants, clients, and railway authorities as required.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Permanent Way standards, track structure, and railway codes (IRPWM, LWR Manual, etc.). Hands-on experience in track construction, maintenance, and monitoring tools. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, Good communication, planning, and team coordination skills. Ability to work in site conditions with strict timelines.

Pay: ₹960,000.00 - ₹1,020,000.00 per year
