Prepare, execute & impart training to manufacturing/QA for new model assembly process
Establish & monitor assembly process during Gen-1/Gen-2/Seeding/Pilot batches
Audits of processes and system during SOVP & support for APPAP closure
Formulation of Mfg. strategy proposals for new product. Workout mfg. investment for new products
Provide input for assembly make Vs. buy proposals
Conduct DFA & ensure implementation of input.
Co-ordination with Plant Team for Initial phase of Productionizing
CME SPOC at Plant
Installation and commissioning of assembly, testing Equipment
Preferred Industries Manufacturing Manufacturing and Pr Manufacturing & Trad Education Qualification Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical; Bachelor of Engineering in Production; Bachelor of Engineering General Experience 5 to 8 years in Manufacturing out of which 3 to 4 years in Process Engg. / Mfg. Engg. would be preferred Critical Experience Critical experience for this position includes:
Proven expertise in evaluating and implementing Design for Assembly (DFA) principles, ensuring product designs facilitate efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality assembly processes.
Successful track record in developing detailed Plant Layouts, assembly processes, and tooling solutions-including fixtures, jigs, and gauges-with a strong emphasis on ergonomics, safety, and production throughput.
Demonstrated ability in the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of assembly and material handling equipment, with an understanding of the technical specifications and operational constraints.
Extensive experience in conducting Process FMEA, creating Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, and drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that meet stringent quality and regulatory standards.
Hands-on experience leading training programs for new model assembly processes, ensuring alignment between design intent and manufacturing execution.
Hands-on involvement in conducting audits and supporting APQP closure activities during key production phases such as SOVP.
Expertise in manufacturing strategy formulation for new products including investment analysis, make-versus-buy assessments, and cross-functional coordination with plant teams during production launch phases.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, serving as the central liaising point (SPOC) between manufacturing engineering teams and plant operations.
