Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose:
Become an integral member of the FP&A team at Colgate India, where you will be the financial steward for the Advertisement and Promotion(A&P) expenditure. This role demands a strong ability to partner with cross functional teams to plan, track, and optimize media investments. Own budget allocation, month-end close activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective use of A&P funds.
Responsibilities :
Budgeting and allocation
?Collaborate with Marketing, Brand, and Finance stakeholders to build and finalize the annual budget and review periodic LE (Latest Estimates)
?Allocate budgeted spend appropriately across Advertising and Promotion (A&P) categories and sub-brands
Spend management and reporting
Regularly track and monitor media spend; ensure actuals are within approved budgets.
?Provide timely spend tracking, variance analysis, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Month-end close and accounting
?Perform month-end close activities: post accounting entries, review/post accruals, and reconcile balances.
?Review open purchase orders (POs), manage Internal order (IO), and ensure proper cut-offs.
Controls and compliance
?Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and Colgate financial policies.
??Support Global Corporate audit, statutory, and internal audits; deliver accurate, timely documentation.
Process improvement
?Standardize and improve spend governance processes and reconciliation routines.
Document key controls and closing procedures.
Required Qualifications:
CA with minimum 2 years of experience
Strong understanding of business and FP&A background
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as SAP, or similar systems.
