for our Chennai location. The ideal candidate will handle recruitment, employee lifecycle management, HR operations, compliance, payroll coordination, PMS, TNI, employee engagement, and ensure smooth functioning of all HR processes at the location.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
o Manage end-to-end recruitment for all roles in the Chennai location.
o Source, screen, interview, and shortlist candidates through various channels.
o Coordinate with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements.
o Ensure smooth onboarding and joining formalities for new hires.
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
o Drive onboarding, induction, and orientation programs.
o Maintain employee records and HRIS updates.
o Handle confirmations, transfers, letters, exit formalities, clearance & F&F.
3. HR Operations
o Oversee day-to-day HR activities for Chennai employees.
o Manage attendance, leave records, and employee queries.
o Support payroll preparation by coordinating with the payroll team.
4. Statutory Compliance & Payroll Coordination
o Ensure statutory compliance related to PF, ESI, PT, and other labour regulations.
o Liaise with external auditors/consultants when required.
o Provide monthly payroll inputs accurately and on time.
5. Performance Management System (PMS)
o Support in implementing and monitoring PMS cycles.
o Coordinate goal-setting, mid-year, and annual appraisal processes.
o Work closely with managers to ensure timely and fair evaluation of employees.
6. Training & Development (TNI)
o Identify training needs (TNI) in consultation with BU heads.
o Coordinate internal and external training programs.
o Track training attendance and effectiveness.
7. Employee Engagement & Culture Building
o Drive engagement initiatives and HR events at the location.
o Conduct employee connect sessions, grievance handling, and pulse checks.
o Foster a positive work environment aligned with company values.
8. HR Reporting
o Prepare and maintain HR dashboards, MIS, and monthly reports.
o Share hiring status, attrition data, and HR metrics with management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
o MBA / Master's degree in Human Resources or related field.
o 4-7 years of experience in HR generalist roles (preferably in fast-paced or startup environments).
o Strong knowledge of recruitment, HR operations, statutory compliance, and payroll coordination.
o Good understanding of PMS, TNI, and engagement frameworks.
o Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.
Preferred Attributes:
o Prior experience managing HR responsibilities for a location independently.
o Experience working in healthcare, pharma, or startup domain is a plus.
o Strong ownership mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Experience in startup is a plus
