Job Summary

:

The Assistant/Junior Engineer - Production plays a key role in executing and monitoring the production activities in a Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) manufacturing unit. The role ensures that fabrication, welding, cutting, and assembly operations are carried out efficiently as per design specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.

Key Responsibilities

:

Assist in daily production planning and shop floor activities based on work orders. Monitor the fabrication process of structural steel components like columns, rafters, beams, and purlins. Coordinate with design and planning teams to understand drawings and ensure proper implementation on the shop floor. Supervise cutting, welding, fitting, and painting activities and ensure quality compliance. Maintain production records, shift reports, and rejection data. Ensure adherence to ISO standards, quality control procedures, and company safety policies. Monitor raw material usage and minimize wastage. Support preventive maintenance of production equipment. Escalate issues such as material shortages, machine breakdowns, or quality deviations to the Production Engineer/Manager. Assist in implementing 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities on the floor.

: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. - Mechanical / Industrial & Production / Automobile

: 0-4years

Skills Required

:

Basic understanding of PEB structures and fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (structural & fabrication). Awareness of welding processes (MIG, SAW), cutting (plasma, gas), and quality checks. Good communication and coordination skills. Willingness to work in shifts and in a factory/shop floor environment.
