The Assistant HR Manager supports the HR Manager in overseeing day-to-day HR operations, implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, recruitment, training, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. This role acts as a bridge between employees and management, fostering a positive work culture.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
Assist in workforce planning and manpower requirements.
Manage end-to-end recruitment process: job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection.
Oversee employee onboarding and induction programs.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement:
Address employee queries and grievances effectively.
Support HR initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, welfare measures, and events.
3. HR Operations & Administration:
Maintain and update employee records, HRMS, and attendance systems.
Ensure timely payroll coordination with finance.
Handle employee confirmations, transfers, and exit formalities.
4. Performance Management:
Support implementation of performance appraisal systems.
Assist in tracking employee performance and maintaining appraisal records.
Coordinate with managers to address performance-related concerns.
5. Training & Development:
Identify training needs through performance reviews and feedback.
Coordinate internal and external training programs.
Maintain training records and assess effectiveness.
6. Compliance & Policy Implementation:
Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and HR regulations.
Assist in drafting/updating HR policies and procedures.
Handle statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, etc.).

Strong knowledge of HR functions and labor laws.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in MS Office and HR software (HRMS).
Organizational and time-management skills.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor's / Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
3-6 years of experience in HR, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory/assistant manager role.
