We are looking to hire an Assistant CTI Manager in our Global Skin Care team based in Mumbai : Overview of the Role An expert for Insights: using consumer, sensory and various research tools to uncover insights to guide new product development along with identifying market trends and opportunities. Lead upstream consumer research to generate product ideas and claims/ concepts based on strong consumer insights to generate the development of a robust short term and long term innovation pipeline. Holds the expertise of identifying target consumer needs, insight mining and translating them into innovation ideas, strategies and project execution. Experience in utilizing competitive information and trends and translating them into concepts and claims and product innovation opportunities. Stakeholder management working with multi-functional teams and mentoring/ coaching junior team members. Strong project leadership to implement the Consumer Technical Insights (CTI) program for Skin Care working and collaborating closely with regional cluster teams. Key Responsibilities Ability to deliver Holistic Design thinking via consumer/sensory research and claims development. Ability to design Consumer/Sensory research and develop Claims and Demo support strategy. Ability to derive new insights coming from market trends analysis, e-commerce review and social commerce/ social media activities and them into insights and/or new product opportunities Ability to utilize competitive information and trends and translating them into concepts and claims and product innovation opportunities. Ability to communicate insights within and outside R&D to ensure that these land into innovation projects and compelling claims. Ability to strengthen the relationship & engagement with external agencies: consumer market research agencies, Sensory panel agencies and academia Interpretation of scientific data and turn these into insights and/or product opportunities. Work closely with Data Science and Digital R&D teams for data modelling and future initiatives within global/cluster CTI teams like big data analysis, artificial intelligence. Team collaboration and a good team player. Strong management experience working with multi-functional teams and mentoring/coaching junior team members. Strong project leadership to implement the Consumer Technical Insights (CTI) program for Skin Care globally working and collaborating closely with Global and regional cluster teams. Key Skills: Strong Skills in the areas of study designing, determining consumer needs and linking them to build new communication stories and build new product solutions and Business opportunities (products and activation) - i.e., White Space markets, established markets where we need to revive and rejuvenate old brands Highly Skilled and competent in managing cross-functional teams specifically the Brand Teams and with a good experience with external Research and PR agencies. Interaction with academia and dermatologists\' groups is a plus. Strong external orientation - competitive landscape, trends, consumers and habits, understanding of regulations and legal Boundaries within claims/communications Overall good communication skills Claim support and demo creation techniques Sensory and consumer testing skills Knowledge of digital tools & systems including social commerce/ e-commerce Hiring Requirements: Preferably Masters in a science field (chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, psychology etc) or equivalent Proven experience and substantial track record in a Category R&D function, including significant CI experience Working experience in FMCG company (6 +years), knowledge in Beauty and Personal Care preferred, experience in project management is desirable Experience: in End-to-End Consumer and product research, Claims Development /Management ABOUT UNILEVER: Be part of the world\'s most successful, purpose-led business.
