Key Responsibilities
Overview:
As the Sales Head for our Food Processing Division in India, you will be responsible for leading and managing all sales activities to drive revenue growth and market penetration. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Sales Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business objectives and market dynamics. Identify key growth opportunities and target markets.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales professionals. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure team members achieve their sales targets and performance goals.
Sales Planning and Execution: Develop detailed sales plans and forecasts. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions as needed.
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners. Understand their needs, preferences, and challenges to provide tailored solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Product Promotion and Branding: Develop and implement marketing and promotional activities to increase product visibility and brand awareness. Collaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional campaigns and materials.
Sales Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and tactics. Track sales performance against targets and KPIs, and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget effectively. Monitor expenditures and ensure optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, operations, and finance to ensure alignment of sales activities with overall business objectives and operational efficiency.
Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Uphold high ethical standards in all sales activities and interactions.
Who are we looking for?
Education:
MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 B-school
Experience:
15 - 18 years experience.
Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably in the food processing industry or related sectors.
Skills:
Strong understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
