Role Objective
To lead, control, and deliver EPC projects within
time, cost, quality, and safety
parameters by providing strategic and operational leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership & Execution
Overall responsibility for
end-to-end EPC project execution
Ensure adherence to
project schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations
Monitor project KPIs, milestones, and critical paths
Lead multiple project teams across locations
2. Planning & Control
Review and approve
project execution plans, baselines, and recovery plans
Oversee
planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring
Ensure effective use of project management tools (Primavera / MS Project)
3. Engineering & Design Coordination
Ensure timely completion of
basic and detailed engineering
Resolve inter-disciplinary design issues
Approve engineering deliverables in line with contract and statutory requirements
4. Procurement & Supply Chain Oversight
Strategic oversight of
long-lead items and critical procurement
Vendor selection approvals and contract finalization support
Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to site
5. Construction & Site Management
Monitor site execution, productivity, and subcontractor performance
Ensure construction methods align with safety and quality standards
Resolve site-level issues impacting progress or cost
6. Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)
Enforce
HSE compliance and zero-incident culture
Ensure implementation of
quality assurance and quality control plans
Conduct audits and corrective action reviews
7. Contract & Commercial Management
Manage client contracts, claims, variations, and change orders
Support billing, certifications, and cash flow optimization
Lead dispute resolution and contractual negotiations
8. Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as
primary interface
with clients, consultants, and authorities
Conduct high-level progress review meetings
Manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction
9. Financial & Risk Management
Control project costs and profitability
Identify and mitigate project risks
Approve budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
10. Team Development & Governance
Lead and mentor Project Directors, Project Managers, and functional heads
Performance management of execution teams
Promote best practices and continuous improvement
