The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

Singapore Performance Management for CCIB is the key role within Plan to Perform delivering.

  • End to End ownership of CCIB Segment performance reporting for Singapore.
  • Deliver superior performance for CCIB Singapore through reporting of management and franchise results, and partner with Region / Country Finance teams on Singapore strategy, performance issues / opportunities.
  • Provide value added financial information and analysis to Singapore CCIB to support their decision making and strategic development.
Key Responsibilities

Partnering, Analysis and Decision support (including Adhoc)
  • Support CCIB Business Finance Head and Partner Product and CCIB Heads to drive and manage segment performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with Business Finance in setting the expectation and provide right solutioning, to drive and manage CCIB Agenda.
  • Understand the drivers of various lines of business and analyse the drivers that can influence delivery of planned target with Risk / opportunities.
  • Support the delivery of \'Analytical ask\' by connecting to the Business context and link it to Country Plan target and strategic outcomes.
  • Ensure support to business stakeholders on regular and ad-hoc management meetings (e.g. MBR, ALCO, CMT and MAS CRAFT).
Reporting and Business Support
  • Provide Storyboarding behind the numbers with value added Business commentaries.
  • Understand the Objectives of the Report and help to establish and deliver performance MI to CCIB.
  • Drive efficient use of metrics and standards in the delivery of reports.
  • Ensure Operational resilience in delivering the standard reports and adhoc requirements with no slippages in monthly ask (Quality / timeline).
Planning (CP / Flash / Outlook)
  • Collaborate with Business Finance and Product CFO teams (Group / Region / Country) aligning top down / Bottoms up for Budgeting / Flash / Outlook.
  • Constantly drive re-engineering of the Budgeting / Forecasting process to deliver process efficiencies and effectiveness (Model Building).
  • Support loading for Budgeting / forecasting process and provision of data with key drivers that influence Corporate Plan.
Transformation, Change and Digital Agenda
  • Drive the change agenda by assessing the impact covering both Performance, System and Process.
  • Support in implementing the organisational changes in the MI with no slippage in quality / timeline.
  • Identify / Build Digital Capability with the team to drive Automation / Standardisation.
  • Execute process simplification through Digital Capability and standardisation of Reports.
Financial Controls
  • Ensure robust financial processes in place to report revenue balance sheet for GCM, Lending and OBL in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Group / IFRS accounting principles and practices, Financial Control policy, and other regulatory accounting guidelines.
  • Ensure timely and correct submission of financial returns to various internal and external authorities and stakeholders.
Organizational Effectiveness
  • Collaborate with Group / Regional / Country Finance colleagues in providing quality management information and review of business plans and strategies.
  • Contribute to any ad-hoc finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as simplification of bank process.
  • Ensure GFS service levels are maintained in line with onshore requirements.

  • A mature finance profession with relevant experience in Business Finance.
  • Strong team leadership and development skills to lead a motivated team - with an ability to operate in complex multi-organisation, multi-country and multi-cultural environments.
  • Sound understanding of international accounting standards requirements, business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies, project management techniques.
  • Strategic context with ability to work collaboratively within the Team and the Bank in formulating strategies involving sourcing and suppliers to deliver business value.
  • Mental tenacity and analytical mind having the ability to take on tough and complex challenges, yet remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Influences and challenges issues, providing judgment and assessment of impact of proposed actions / activities on performance and strategy.
  • Experience in change and programme management and self-awareness to adopt varying approaches for different stakeholder dynamics.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in networking and influencing decisions taken in the business and in infrastructure teams.
  • Senior executive stakeholder management capability that provides strong collaboration with business and functional leaders.

  • Good Communication and experience in computer skills (Excel, word, and presentation skills).
