About the Role
This isn't a typical Associate - Ventures role.
You will work on initiatives that genuinely transform how finance works in India, a type of work few roles offer.

• You will be a part of the Strategy, investment and Corp Dev team at CoinDCX.
• You will be involved in early stage investing (VC) in VDA projects globally, portfolio management, work on key strategy projects for CoinDCX, M&A, and get involved in investor relations and fundraising (on an as needed basis) for CoinDCX.
• This is a very fast evolving industry, and this group/role gives a ring side view to the industry and making significant decisions basis those convictions.

What You'll Do
Strategy:

• Work on overall strategy at CoinDCX. In an industry that is rapidly evolving and we have limited or no precedence for what we are attempting to do, strategy becomes all the more key for the organization. Think of being in this function in the late 1990s in companies that were defining what the internet would look like

Venture investments:

• Research: Research evolving trends in the global blockchain landscape, and develop theses on investment opportunities. Publish research in periodic Internal/external publications
• Sourcing: Proactively source and identify new investment opportunities within the global blockchain ecosystem and ensure a strong and continuous pipeline of potential investment opportunities
• Relationship building: With the broader ecosystem, engineers, influencers, marketing/PR/dev partners, entrepreneurs and other investors
• Due diligence: help evaluate investment opportunities through market research, product reviews, competitive analysis, metrics analysis, customer/user reviews and technical diligence
• Portfolio value addition: help monitor progress of portfolio companies; help portfolio companies in every way possible, help connect portfolio companies to the CoinDCX ecosystem and the other portfolio companies;
• Help develop strategy and team, help with future fund raises for portfolio companies etc. Publishing scorecards and progress reports on portfolio companies

Mergers & Acquisition:

• Identify value accretive opportunities for the company across the world as we expand both geographically and our grow our product portfolio.
• Run our diligence on the opportunities, work with internal stakeholders to to drive towards a decision, manage the entire end-to-end transaction and work closely with the target and with internal stakeholders on post merger integration to create long term value for CoinDCX.

You'll Excel in This Role If You

• 2-4 years of experience as a strategy consultant with a top tier firm OR early stage investor with a top-tier VC firm OR as an entrepreneur/operator in the VDA space with deep connections in the domestic/global VDA community
• Exceptional written and communication skills and ability to absorb a lot of information and synthesize in a crisp manner
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create strong relationships with entrepreneurs, other investors and the broader blockchain ecosystem
• Passionate about cryptocurrency and blockchain and a desire to use technology as an enabler and catalyst to change the world
• Strong team player who takes initiative; value system based on passion, hard work, integrity and humility
• Bachelor and/or Masters degree in engineering or economics/finance with excellent academic credentials

You'll Know You're Winning When

• You close 1 Strategy project per month
• Upto speed with ongoing investor management and new conversations
• Close 1 M&A deal per month
