Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Associate Teacher to support the delivery of high-quality physics education to students. The Associate Teacher will work closely with the Lead Physics Teacher to assist in lesson preparation, classroom instruction, laboratory supervision, and student support. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring educators or recent physics graduates looking to gain experience in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Lead Physics Teacher in planning and delivering engaging physics lessons aligned with curriculum standards.

Support students during class activities, lab work, and assessments.

Supervise and maintain safety protocols in physics laboratories.

Help prepare teaching materials, lab equipment, and classroom resources.

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to reinforce learning.

Assist in grading assignments, lab reports, quizzes, and exams under teacher guidance.

Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Monitor student behavior and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Communicate with students and staff in a respectful and effective manner.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Physics, Physical Science, or a related field.

Strong content knowledge in physics at the high school level.

Passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

Previous experience working in a school or tutoring environment.

Enrollment in or completion of a teacher certification program.

Familiarity with science lab equipment and safety procedures.

Proficiency with educational technology and tools (e.g., Google Classroom, simulation software).

Working Conditions:

Standard school hours, with occasional after-school duties.

Classroom and laboratory settings.

May involve standing for long periods and handling lab equipment.
