Key role elements

• Understand the requirements for live production support of web sites for high profiles brands
• Carry out support of web based systems / platforms in both Windows and Unix Environments, this will involve an on-call rota and our-of-hours support
• Work closely with the wider Managed Service team including Technical Architects, Project Managers, DevOps Engineers, Application Support, Developers and other Systems Engineers to ensure we maintain client SLA's
• Work within and understand our DevOps and Continuous Integration/Delivery ethos
• Developing new skills (both formally and self-starting) our varied clients buy in to a number of Technology stacks so we need you to have an enthusiasm and passion for Technology and learning

Qualifications and Experience

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with one of the following Public Cloud providers: Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure
• 1-3 years of experience in managing Windows or Linux based infrastructure
• 1-3 years of hand-on experience with configuration and automation tooling preferably Ansible (Chef and/or Puppet acceptable)
• 1-3 years of experience working with networking: Routing and switch configurations, Firewalls & Network Security, Load balancing, WAF - Desirable
• Experience in configuring web servers: Apache, IIS and Tomcat - Desirable
• Experience with developing scripts for CI/build management tooling such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or others - Desirable
• Experience troubleshooting with monitoring Tools: New Relic, DataDog or App Dynamics - Desirable
• Experience with the Atlassian suite, Confluence, JIRA, Crowd, BitBucket, Bamboo would be desirable - Desirable
• Exposure to using terraform scripts - Desirable
• Have written scripts and automation using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash - Desirable
• Exposure of common database technologies: MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Mongo - Desirable
• Understand how IT operations are managed
• Manage source control including GIT
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success

• Interpersonal and communication skills

In addition, the following would be beneficial:

• Knowledge of Java/JVM based languages
• Experience in supporting a Digital Agency on design and technology led projects
• Exposure to one or more of the following enterprise eCommerce or CMS solutions such as Hybris, Episerver, Oracle WCS, AEM/CQ and Sitecore
