Job Description

Responsibilities


The Stores Engineer is responsible for efficient management of Spring, Shell, Rubber, Performer Rubber inventory, materials, and spare parts required for smooth operations of engineering or production functions. The role ensures accurate record-keeping, timely material availability, and strict adherence to safety, quality, and inventory control procedures.Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials using ERP or inventory management systems. Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure availability of critical spare parts and consumables. Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and production teams for material requisitions and replenishment. Prepare and verify Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), issue slips, stock transfer notes, and dispatch documentation. Implement and maintain storage systems (binning, labeling, stacking) for optimal space utilization and easy traceability. Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy. Handle proper documentation of warranty items, rejected materials, and returnable goods. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and ISO Maintain calibration, AMC, and preventive maintenance records for tools and instruments. Identify and report obsolete, non-moving, or excess inventory for corrective action. * Assist in developing and improving inventory control processes and reporting metrics.
