Job Description

We are seeking an

Associate Software Consultant - EMR / HMS

to support the implementation, deployment, and support of

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Hospital Management System (HMS)

solutions across healthcare facilities. This role involves close coordination with hospital IT teams, doctors, nurses, billing staff, and internal technical teams to ensure smooth system implementation, data accuracy, and high system availability.

Key ResponsibilitiesEMR / HMS Implementation

Assist in end-to-end implementation of

EMR / HMS software

at hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers. Configure modules such as

Patient Registration, OPD/IPD, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, and Reports

. Support

on-site and remote deployments

during implementation and go-live phases. Execute data setup, master configuration, and workflow mapping as per hospital processes.

Database & SQL Responsibilities

Write and execute

SQL queries

for: Patient data validation Billing and transaction reconciliation Report verification Support

data migration

from legacy hospital systems to EMR/HMS platforms. Work with

MS SQL Server / MySQL / Oracle

databases. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with healthcare standards.

Application Support & Troubleshooting

Provide L2/L3 application support for EMR/HMS systems. Analyze and resolve issues related to: Patient records Billing mismatches Report inaccuracies Performance issues Perform

root cause analysis (RCA)

and coordinate fixes with development teams. Monitor logs and backend services to ensure system stability.

Testing & Validation

Perform

functional, regression, and UAT testing

for EMR/HMS modules. Validate clinical workflows and hospital operations before go-live. Verify fixes, enhancements, and regulatory compliance post-deployment.

Client Interaction & Training

Act as a

technical point of contact

for hospital IT teams and end users. Train doctors, nurses, front-desk staff, and billing teams on system usage. Support client demos, workflow walkthroughs, and post-go-live handholding. Address client queries and ensure high user adoption.

Documentation & Compliance

Prepare and maintain: Implementation checklists Configuration documents User manuals and training materials Issue and resolution logs Ensure adherence to healthcare IT compliance and internal quality standards.

Environment & Release Support

Support UAT and Production environments. Assist with deployments, patches, and configuration updates. Participate in go-live support, system stabilization, and upgrades.

Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills

Strong SQL knowledge (MS SQL Server / MySQL / Oracle). Experience in application support or implementation roles. Understanding of healthcare workflows and hospital operations. Basic knowledge of reporting tools (Crystal Reports / SSRS preferred). Familiarity with APIs and backend troubleshooting is a plus.

Functional & Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and hospital client-handling abilities. Ability to work independently at client sites. Willingness to travel and support extended go-live periods.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or equivalent.

1-3 years of experience

in EMR / HMS implementation, hospital IT support, or healthcare software companies. Candidates from

hospital IT departments

or healthcare software vendors preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with EMR/HMS products such as: IT Dose, EH NOTE, Easy Solutions, Yarago, Aosta, Sukra Software (or similar) Hands-on experience in hospital environments is a strong advantage

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
