Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and skilled
Associate
to join our Debt Capital Markets team, with a dual focus on
sales and marketing of Bonds/G-Secs
and the
profitable management of proprietary books
. The candidate should have a solid understanding of investment guidelines (EPFO/MoL&E, MoF, PFRDA), a strong network with PF trusts, banks, treasuries and insurance companies and a deep knowledge of the Indian debt market.
This role requires strong client engagement capabilities, business development acumen and the ability to provide market intelligence to support execution of bond transactions.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs
Sales & Marketing of Bonds / G-Secs
Drive sales and placement of
bonds, G-Secs, SDLs, and other fixed income instruments
across PF Trusts, Banks, Treasuries and Insurance Companies.
Leverage
existing client relationships
and develop new ones to expand placement opportunities.
Getting
empanelment
with key PF trusts, banks, and insurance companies.
Proprietary Book Management
Actively manage the proprietary debt book with a focus on
profitable trading and investment strategies
.
Monitor bond yields, G-Sec markets, and credit spreads to identify trading opportunities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines in all trades with technical knowhow of FIMMDA Valuations.
Market Intelligence & Origination Support
Provide timely
feedback on investor appetite, pricing trends, and demand-supply dynamics
.
Share actionable insights to support the origination team in structuring and executing bond issuances.
Track policy, regulatory, and market developments impacting debt markets.
Investor & Client Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with
Provident Funds, Pension Funds, Banks, Treasuries and Insurance Companies
.
Develop and deliver impactful
presentations, pitchbooks and proposals
to clients and investors.
Support business development efforts by identifying
emerging opportunities
in the debt capital space.
Execution & Collaboration
Coordinate with internal stakeholders for transaction execution.
Assist in deal slips, transaction notes and client-ready reports.
Work in close alignment with senior team members for smooth deal closure.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of
fixed income markets, debt instruments, and regulatory guidelines
(EPFO, MoL&E, MoF, PFRDA).
Proven ability to engage with
PF Trusts, Banks, Treasuries, and Insurance Companies
.
Solid grasp of
debt market dynamics and trading strategies
.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client engagement skills.
Strong
analytical ability, problem-solving mindset, and market awareness
.
High integrity, professional ethics, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate in Commerce/Finance. MBA / CA / CFA (preferred).
5 plus years of relevant experience
in Debt Capital Markets, Treasury, Bond Sales or Proprietary Book Management.
Demonstrated track record of
investor engagement and bond placements
.
Experience in managing or supporting a
proprietary debt portfolio
is an advantage.
