The ICCT is looking for a self-directed, energetic team leader to implement the research strategy of the ICCT low emission zones program in India. Representative work can be seen at https://theicct.org/india. You will report to the India Managing Director in Delhi.
You Will:

  • Support the work around zero / low emissions zones in India
  • Support multiple projects with diverse partners and take responsibility for successful project delivery of the project
  • Support and co-author ground-breaking research in India
  • Maintain productive working relationships with academic experts, civil society, industry and government officials in India
  • Communicate the work of the ICCT in a clear and effective manner
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

You Have:
  • Master\'s or PhD in planning, engineering, economics, or related field
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in the private sector, academia, civil society or other research setting with a focus on transportation, energy, environment and/or policy
  • Excellent and demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and research skills, such as experience collecting and analysing large datasets, drafting technical papers, and distilling research evidence into key actions
  • Examples of successful project management or a project management certification
  • Strong interpersonal and English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with MS Office and with data analysis software
  • Candidates with good experience on working with public agencies in India are preferred

To succeed in our environment, you should be intellectually curious, self-directed, and able to work with people from across the globe. You must be able to connect research to policy and translate technical information to stakeholders. This position will be based in Delhi. Some domestic (within India) and international travel may be required. The contracted hourly rate will be around 600 - 700 INR on a full-time basis.
