Associate Professor

Key Responsibilities:Teaching & Mentorship:
Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in microbiology (e.g., general microbiology, medical microbiology, microbial genetics, virology, immunology, etc.).
Supervise and mentor graduate (MSc/PhD) students and postdoctoral researchers.
Develop innovative and inclusive instructional materials and laboratory exercises.
Participate in curriculum development and program assessment.
Research:
Conduct original, high-quality research in microbiology or related areas.
Publish research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
Apply for and secure external research funding (grants/fellowships).
Lead collaborative research initiatives within and outside the university.
Academic Service:
Serve on departmental, faculty, and university committees.
Contribute to outreach, community engagement, and professional development programs.
Participate in academic events such as seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Support departmental accreditation and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications: Essential:
MD in Microbiology or a closely related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of teaching and research experience at the university level.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching and student engagement.
Strong publication record in high-impact microbiology journals.
Experience in supervising graduate student research.
Proven ability to obtain and manage competitive research funding.
Qualification - MBBS, MS/MD
