The JKKN College of Arts and Science is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Professor in the Department of Visual Communication. The Associate Professor will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the field of Visual Communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to academic excellence and a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Visual Communication.
• Conduct research in the field of Visual Communication and publish scholarly articles.
• Participate in curriculum development and program assessment activities.
• Advise and mentor students in the department.
• Participate in service activities for the department, college, and community.
• Keep up-to-date with advances in the field of Visual Communication and incorporate them into teaching and research activities.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff across the college to enhance the academic experience for students.

Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. or MFA in Visual Communication or a related field.
• A record of excellence in teaching, research, and service.
• Demonstrated expertise in Visual Communication, with a focus on one or more of the following areas: graphic design, photography, videography, or

multimedia. * Experience in curriculum development and program assessment.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff across the college.
